Cooper Hewitt Virtual Mood Board Workshop
How do designers generate inspiration? Join fashion designer and educator Lesley Ware for a hands-on workshop that explores sourcing materials and ideas for your own mood board. More than just collages, mood boards can inspire everything from websites to books to home interiors. Participants will enhance their design literacy skills and build a network with other participants who are interested in exploring innovative tools to use in their own practices, classrooms, or organizations. Community Creates—Familial Fashion With The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Activate your creativity and join a community of makers for a virtual, artist-led art-making session. Using photographs in The Met collection as inspiration (here and here), explore fashion in old family photographs and magazine clippings. Create new narratives by altering them with markers, paint, thread, fabric, and more. Everyone has the opportunity to share and discuss their work of art with the group if they wish. For adult makers at all levels of experience.
